Redness after Laser Tattoo Removal

Following laser treatment, a very common reaction is reddening of the skin, particularly on lighter skin types as shown on this client at LaserYou. The technical term is Erythema. Not all skins react – some do not react at all particularly if there is very little ink left to treat. It is a superficial and temporary reddening which can appear alarming due to its intensity. But note that while most people’s skin will react to laser in the form of reddening, blistering or even pin point bleeding, the redness is very temporary and will quickly subside within hours or a day of the treatment. At LaserYou we dress each tattoo following treatment so the redness will not be visible and will almost certainly have disappeared after removal of the dressing.
